A look at the post-Easter narrative in Luke’s gospel. Todd draws on his background as a Classicist to show how in Luke the birth, death, and resurrection Jesus does nothing less then inaugurate a new alternative kingdom that challenges the established order of the Roman empire and champions the poor and marginalized in that order over the rich and the powerful. We are challenged to let Jesus subvert our assumptions as well.
