One of our favorite additions to the church’s service for Epiphany is a staged reading of T.S. Eliot’s classic poem for Christmas, “Journey of the Magi.” Originally published in 1927 as part of a collection of cards for Christmas, Eliot wrote this poem shortly after his conversion to Christianity and it reflects his own belief that the process of spiritual rebirth is arduous and ongoing.
